I started proofreading by helping friends and coworkers while working another full-time job. After taking editing courses to hone my skills and add to my knowledge, I began working on Proofreading by Jade as a side business. Now, proofreading is my sole job and I get to make a living doing something I love while getting more time to spend with my family. I have met a great community of authors and have even proofread for indie authors who have made the USA Today's bestseller list.
